If you arrive at Cairo International Airport by car, don’t worry about finding a parking space. There are multiple parking areas at this airport. Both short-term and long-term parking options are available to passengers. There are 10 parking areas in Terminal 1. This parking area has a capacity of approximately 3,600 vehicles. Terminal 3 building has a parking area for approximately 1,300 vehicles. There is also a covered parking building between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. In other words, there are three main parking areas at the airport: Terminal 1, Terminal 3, and the multi-story parking area between them. You can park your car in the parking area closest to the terminal building where your flight is departing from.

Terminal 1: There are short-term and long-term parking areas. Terminal 1 has parking areas for approximately 3,600 vehicles. This parking area is designated for short-term and long-term parking.

Departure Hall 1: 930 vehicles.
Arrival Hall 2: 695 vehicles.
Departure Hall 2: 127 vehicles.
Arrival Hall 2: Lower level, 135 vehicles.
Arrival Hall 2: External, 126 vehicles.
Arrival & Departure Hall 3: 311 vehicles.
Long-term parking: 775 vehicles.
VIP parking: 400 vehicles.

Terminal 3: There is a parking area with a capacity of approximately 1,300 vehicles. This parking area is close to the Arrivals side.

Multi-storey Garage: This is a covered parking area located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. It is suitable for both short and long-term parking. This parking garage has approximately 3,000 parking spaces. There is a shuttle service from this parking area to the terminals. You can park your vehicle in the parking area closest to the terminal building where your flight is departing from.

Drop-off and Pick-up Car Parks Cairo Airport

These areas are designed for quickly dropping off and picking up passengers. The Drop-off and Pick-up areas are located closest to the terminal entrances.

If you are dropping off a passenger at the airport, you should go to the Departures area. You can drop off your passenger in front of the terminal where your passenger’s flight is located inside the airport.

If you are picking up someone from the airport, you should go to the Arrivals area. Your passenger should get into the vehicle quickly. Parking and stopping for long periods is prohibited here. Vehicles stopping in front of the terminal for long periods disrupt traffic flow. If you will be at the airport for more than 5 minutes, you should park your vehicle in the short-term parking area.

Short-term Parking at Cairo Airport

Short-term parking is designed for passengers who will park their vehicles at the airport for a few hours. If you are meeting someone at the airport or picking someone up from the airport, you can park your vehicle in the short-term parking area. There are short-term parking areas in the Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 parking lots. There is also a short-term parking area in the multi-story parking lot between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. It can be difficult to find a space in these parking areas, especially early in the morning and in the evening. It is advisable to arrive at the airport early during busy flight times.

Short-term parking areas are within walking distance of the terminal. Fees are charged on an hourly basis. If you are leaving your car at the airport for more than 24 hours, I recommend parking your car in the long-term parking lot. Long-term parking rates are more affordable.

Long-term Parking at Cairo Airport

Long-term parking lots are designed for passengers who will park their vehicles at the airport for several days or longer. These parking lots are a little further from the terminal buildings. There are long-term parking areas at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. If you are going on a trip for a few days and will be parking your car at Cairo Airport, you can park your car in the covered parking area located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. I recommend this parking area so that your car is not affected by the sun and weather conditions.

Fees are charged on a daily and weekly basis. This parking area is more affordable for long-term parking. There is a free shuttle from the covered parking area to the terminal.

All parking areas are monitored by security cameras. The parking areas are designed to be accessible to people with disabilities. You can pay by credit card or cash. If you are paying in cash, don’t forget to bring EGP with you.
